1. Asader Li'Sudata – The Sabbath Aramaic Prayer – אסדר לסעודתא

Spotify Music

Traditional piyyut by Rabbi Isaac Luria (the Ari, 1534–1572)
The table becomes an altar. The cup holds more than wine.
Aramaic words the angels almost recognize.
The Ancient One is invited to sit where you sit.
The table is set before the noise of the world arrives.

2. Psalm 2 – Why Do the Nations Rage – תהילים ב.

Spotify Music

The nations rage. Their plans are smoke.
The One enthroned in heaven laughs, but not forever.
The stone the builders rejected now sings in the wall.
The raging of the strong cannot silence the whisper of the small.

3. Psalm 3 – Lord, How Many Are My Foes – תהילים ג

Spotify Music
Ten thousand enemies surround one bed.
The same lips that cry out, sleep in peace.
Salvation belongs to the Lord, so I lay my head down.
To sleep when surrounded is not weakness. It is trust.

4. Psalm 4 – Answer Me When I Call – תהילים ד

Spotify Music
Anger is a door. Do not let it close.
The dark holds an answer the day cannot give.
Gladness is poured into the heart, not into the barn.
The stillest part of you already knows the way.

5. Psalm 5 – Give Ear to My Words – תהילים ה

Spotify Music
Morning is a knife that cuts through lies.
Your voice first, then the world.
The righteous are not safe because they are strong. Their safety is elsewhere, in God.
To speak before sunrise is to claim the day before it claims you.

6. Psalm 14 – The Fool Has Said in His Heart – תהילים י"ד

Spotify Music
No one does good, not one. The verdict is in.
God leans out of heaven and finds the courtroom empty.
The bread of the poor is eaten by those who never call.
Looking for one who does good begins with looking at your own hands.

7. Psalm 113 – Praise the Lord – תהילים קי"ג

Spotify Music
From the rising of the sun to its setting, one Name.
He lifts the poor from the dust to seat them with princes.
Who is like the Lord? No one. That is the point.
To be lifted from the dust is to remember who you were before the world named you.

8. Psalm 137 – By the Rivers of Babylon – תהילים קל"ז

Spotify Music
We hung our harps on willows. The songs would not come.
How can we sing the Lord's song in a strange land?
If I forget you, Jerusalem, let my right hand wither.
Some songs cannot be sung for strangers. They are kept for home.

9. Psalm 142 – I Cry Aloud to the Lord – תהילים קמ"ב

Spotify Music
The cave is dark, but the whisper is clear.
No one knows my path, except the One who carved it.
You are my refuge. That is not a metaphor.
When no one sees your path, the unseen One still walks beside you.

10. Psalm 111 – I Will Give Thanks to the Lord – תהילים קי"א

Spotify Music
The alphabet of praise starts at Aleph and ends at Tav.
His works are sought out, by those who delight in seeking.
Fear is the beginning. Wisdom is the end.
To study the works of the Maker is to learn that you are not forgotten.
